This week, we’ve got a 13-fight card at Boise, Idaho. It’s headlined by Junior Dos Santos vs Blagoy Ivanov, that is making his UFC debut. DraftKings has smaller contests with this card because it is just a Fight Night card using lesser known title, but there is still well over $100k to be obtained. I’ll be chasing my fair share of that money and that I hope you guys will be too. Listed below are a few plays I like this weekend and my fade of the week.
Money Game play of the week — Alexander Volkanovski ($9,200)
I believe Volkanovski is the”safest” play on this particular card along with his -300 gaming lineup would concur with me. That is where I’ll be starting my lineup this week and I will figure out the rest from there. Volkanovski averages 116.5 DK points during his first four UFC fights therefore he’s got a whole lot of upside too. He could possible score more than two other winners with this particular card combined. I really do think he’s in drama for GPPs too for that reason, but he will likely be the most peculiar owned fighter on the card and we do not care about possession as much in money games. I’d suggest paying for the costly cost on your money games and I then search for at least 3 others wins you are confident in.
GPP play of this week — Junior Dos Santos ($8,700)
JDS should be the way better striker inside this fight and I believe that is where the fight will take place. He could get KO’d at the opening minutes of this battle and score 0 points, but that is what makes him a GPP play in lieu of a money game play. With these two Heavyweights, we should likely see a KO inside the 25-minues and I feel the former champion, JDS, are the one to receive it. He has good takedown defense so he should be able to keep this battle on the feet where he will have a 4-inch achieve advantage to work with.
Underdog drama of this week — Niko Price ($7,900)
Niko is going to function as underdog play of this week. The chances indicate that the fight should be rather close and there is a great chance he utilizes his wrestling to gain the advantage. In 5 fights that he has not seen a decision yet, and there is a chance it remains that way if he receives Brown to the ground. Niko includes some slick entrances in his arsenal and a lot of heart. On the toes, Brown likely has the benefit with his achieve, but Price does have any sneaky power also, which can not be overlooked. Overall, I enjoy this as a GPP play.
Fade of this week — Alejandro Perez ($9,100)
Perez is the 2nd most expensive fighter on this card and he’s only $100 cheaper than Volkanovski. In my view, Perez will require a finish to really have a shot at paying off that expensive salary and I do not want to invest in that, personally. He has never landed more than one takedown at a struggle and Wineland has excellent takedown defense, therefore we must see this fight occur on the toes. I believe Perez needs to be the person to get his hands raised in the end but I think that it will be through conclusion. If that is the case then he could score ~60 points in a win, and also at $9.1k that is not going to win anybody a tournament. I will be full fading Perez this week and hoping he doesn’t get the finish and he’s my official evaporate of this week.
