Scotland have predicted up back-row Magnus Bradbury for their World Cup squad .
As confirmed by trainer Gregor Townsend after their triumph over Georgia on Friday scotland have five World Cup injury concerns.
Ritchie was taken to hospital with a deep facial wound after the Murrayfield battle and scans that are following that the flanker will remain to evaluate whether he will have the ability to take part.
Edinburgh back-row Bradbury will fly out to Japan on Monday together with all the rest of the squad with just over two weeks to go before their opener with Ireland at Yokohama on September 22.
The Edinburgh back row, who replaced Ritchie on Friday, has been capped eight occasions and had overlooked the 3 Tests against Georgia and France during rib trauma.
“That [Ritchie’s] is the most relating to injury as he needed to be substituted using a suspected facial accident. We hope it is not something which will help keep him out of the World Cup,” said Townsend.
Blair Kinghorn and lock Ben Toolis both suffered head collapses that will require concussion checks while Blade Thomson along with Jonny Gray – creating his first run from their warm-up show – will also be nursing hamstring injuries.
Scotland will confront hosts Japan, Russia and Samoa in addition to Ireland .
