Scotland have predicted up back-row Magnus Bradbury to their World Cup travelling group .
As supported by trainer Gregor Townsend after their triumph over Georgia on Friday, scotland have five World Cup injury concerns.
Ritchie was taken with a facial wound following tests and the Murrayfield clash , the flanker will remain in Scotland for specialist evaluation to evaluate if he will have the ability to take part.
Edinburgh back-row Bradbury will fly out to Japan on Monday with all the rest of the squad with just two weeks to move before their opener Ireland in Yokohama on September 22.
The Edinburgh back row, who replaced Ritchie on Friday, had missed the 3 prior warm-up Tests against Georgia and France and was occupying eight times.
“That [Ritchie’s] is the most concerning injury as he had to be replaced with a suspected facial accident. We hope it is not something which will help keep him from this World Cup,” said Townsend.
Blair Kinghorn and lock Ben Toolis equally suffered head collapses that will require concussion checks while Jonny Gray and Blade Thomson – making his first run from the warm-up series – may also be nursing hamstring injuries.
Scotland will confront Russia Ireland and Samoa as well as hosts Japan in their World Cup pool.
