New Zealand back-row forward Luke Jacobson was ruled out of this World Cup due to concussion.
Jacobson played against Tonga a week and travelled with the group for the tournament in Japan, but the Blacks stated the 22-year-old had suffered a”delayed onset of concussion”.
New Zealand Coach Steve Hansen stated this week the participant showed symptoms after their first training session.
Shannon Frizell will, replaces jacobson, who has two caps.
“After discussing this most recent episode with Luke, in addition to our healthcare staff, the conclusion has been made to, regrettably, draw him from the tournament,” Hansen informed the All Blacks website.
