The 2018 Winter Olympics

The Olympic Games are split into two contests — the Winter Olympics as well as the Summer Olympics. Both occur every four decades, with two years between them. The Winter Olympics is the smaller of these two competitions, but it includes events and a number of distinct sports.
Somewhat the Winter Olympics are for sports that are practiced on ice or snow. They featured ski in a variety of forms, together with figure skating, speed skating, bobsleigh, and curling.
In recent decades, additional sports have been added to the schedule. Included in these are a few other forms of skiing and skating, snowboarding, and skeleton (a type of sledding).
The introduction of sports has helped to expand the appeal of the Winter Olympics. They were traditionally of interest mostly in North America and Europe, because the majority of the competing athletes came from these regions.
Over the past couple of years, however, athletes in countries like South Korea and Australia have competed successfully in events. It has contributed to audiences across the globe.
Every single Winter Olympics is held in a different host city. In eleven states, they have been held to date. The USA has been home to the competition more times than any other country (4), most recently back in 2002.
The Winter Olympics were held in Sochi, Russia, in 2014. The following are to be held in February of this year, in PyeongChang County, South Korea. Though they hosted the Summer Olympics in 1988, That is the first Winter Olympics of South Korea.
