NFL Insider for ESPN, adam Schefter Recorded the Information.
Together with the ability to activate him, the Patriots placed rookie wide receiver N’Keal Harry on injured reserve in a move.
“Patriots are now re-signing WR Demaryius Thomas to a one-year deal, per source. Thomas was introduced with the idea of returning.”
Thomas shined at the preseason finale for the Patriots, grabbing seven moves eight targets for 87 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns, just eight months removed from ripping his Achilles when he was using the Texans.
Thomas’ deal with the Patriots will be a more team-friendly contract which allows them some flexibility to deal with other team needs if they should.
N’Keal Harry, on the other hand, became the first New England Patriots receiver drafted in the first round and he had any drops he exhibited his athleticism and forced catches also.
Harry fought during preseason and training camp with ankle injuries. He was injured with the Lions and a hit in the preseason opener. The Arizona State product will now have lots of time to get fit and I would not be surprised if the Patriots keep him out of action until after the Week 10 bye.
5Dimes has the Patriots since 5-point favorites for their Sunday Night Football Week 1 game against the Steelers on September 8.
