Scotland have called up back-row Magnus Bradbury for their World Cup squad that was travelling as a preventative harm cover for Jamie Ritchie.
As supported Gregor Townsend following their win over Georgia on Friday, scotland have five World Cup injury issues.
Ritchie was taken to hospital with a deep facial wound after scans that are following and the Murrayfield battle , the flanker will stay in Scotland for expert evaluation to evaluate whether he will be able to take part.
Edinburgh back-row Bradbury will fly out to go at Yokohama on September 22 before their opener with Ireland.
The Edinburgh back , who substituted Ritchie on Friday, had overlooked the three Tests against Georgia and France and has been restricted eight occasions.
“This [Ritchie’s] is our most regarding injury since he had to be replaced using a suspected facial accident. We hope it’s not something which will keep him from the World Cup,” said Townsend.
Full-back Blair Kinghorn and lock Ben Toolis equally suffered head collapses that will necessitate concussion tests while Blade Thomson along with Jonny Gray – producing his first run from the warm-up show – may also be nursing hamstring injuries.
Scotland will confront hosts Japan, Russia and Samoa in addition to Ireland in their World Cup pool.
